1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Let's Ride Sri Lanka ("we," "our," or "the Platform"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

2. Description of Service

Let's Ride Sri Lanka is a digital marketplace that connects tourists visiting Sri Lanka with licensed vehicle drivers through a transparent bidding system. We facilitate:

• Trip planning and booking for tourists
• Driver registration and profile management
• A bidding system where drivers can offer competitive pricing
• Communication between tourists and drivers
• Payment facilitation and transaction management

We are a platform provider only. We do not provide transportation services directly. All services are provided by independent third-party drivers.

3. User Accounts & Registration

3.1 Account Creation

• Tourists: Must provide a valid email address, full name, and create a secure password
• Drivers: Must provide phone number, email (optional), full name, NIC, vehicle details, and complete our verification process

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and current

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any reason at our sole discretion.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Tourist Responsibilities

• Provide accurate trip details and requirements
• Respond to driver bids in a timely manner
• Honor accepted bids and agreed-upon terms
• Make payments as agreed
• Treat drivers with respect and professionalism
• Comply with Sri Lankan laws and regulations

4.2 Driver Responsibilities

• Maintain valid licenses, insurance, and permits required by Sri Lankan law
• Provide accurate vehicle information
• Submit honest and competitive bids
• Honor accepted bids and provide agreed services
• Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness standards
• Treat tourists with respect and professionalism
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations

5. Bidding System

5.1 How Bidding Works

• Tourists post trip details including dates, routes, and requirements
• Drivers submit competitive bids with their proposed pricing
• Tourists review bids and select their preferred driver
• Once a bid is accepted, both parties are committed to the agreement

5.2 Bid Commitments

By submitting a bid, drivers commit to providing the service at the stated price if accepted. By accepting a bid, tourists commit to using that driver's services at the agreed price.

5.3 Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. Unreasonable cancellations may result in penalties or account suspension.

6. Payments & Fees

6.1 Platform Fees

Let's Ride Sri Lanka may charge service fees to tourists and/or drivers for use of the Platform. These fees will be clearly disclosed before any transaction is completed.

6.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed through our secure payment partners
• All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR)
• Tourists are responsible for paying agreed-upon amounts
• Drivers receive payments minus applicable platform fees

6.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our Refund Policy. Disputes should be reported within 48 hours of service completion.

7. Driver Verification & Safety

7.1 Verification Process

All drivers must complete our verification process, which includes:

• NIC verification (National Identity Card)
• Valid driver's license verification
• Vehicle registration and insurance verification
• Background checks where applicable

7.2 Safety Standards

While we implement verification measures, Let's Ride Sri Lanka cannot guarantee the safety, reliability, or quality of drivers or services. Users engage with drivers at their own risk.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

• Providing false or misleading information
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Circumventing the Platform to conduct direct transactions
• Using the Platform for illegal activities
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Manipulating the bidding system or ratings
• Scraping, copying, or unauthorized use of Platform content
• Uploading malicious code or viruses
• Creating multiple accounts to abuse the system

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, code, and software, is the property of Let's Ride Sri Lanka or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Platform Provider Role

Let's Ride Sri Lanka is a marketplace platform only. We are not a transportation company and do not provide transportation services. All services are provided by independent third-party drivers.

10.2 Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of information
• Warranties regarding third-party driver services

10.3 Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Let's Ride Sri Lanka shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Personal injury or property damage arising from use of driver services
• Actions or omissions of drivers or tourists
• Disputes between users
• Technical failures or interruptions

Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Let's Ride Sri Lanka, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your interactions with other users

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Platform Disputes

If you have a complaint about the Platform, please contact us at support@letsrideslk.com. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.

12.2 User Disputes

Disputes between tourists and drivers should be reported to our support team. While we may facilitate resolution, we are not obligated to resolve user disputes.

12.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

13. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to our privacy practices.

14. Email Verification

Depending on our current policies, email verification may be required for tourists and/or drivers. Unverified accounts may have limited access to Platform features.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notification where reasonably possible.

16. Registration Controls

We reserve the right to temporarily close registration for tourists and/or drivers at any time to maintain service quality and balance supply and demand.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Let's Ride Sri Lanka regarding use of the Platform.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
